There are many schools of Feng Shui, I practice the Xuan Kong Feng Shui School or Time-space School taught to me by Master Joseph Yu of the Canadian Feng Shui Research Center.
The premise being that houses built in different periods of time have different energy maps. As the world is changing, what is good today may not be so good tomorrow. Studying Feng Shui without referring to the time factor is assuming the world does not change over time.
