As a psychic I’m all too aware that my words can stick in someone’s mind and memory for years and years. I still remember a reading I had when I was around 20 years of age. It wasn’t memorable but for some reason little snippets stick out. Like how many children I would have and what gender they would be. It turned out right too.

I had a reading when I was with my last partner and was told that we weren’t compatible, that we were different frequencies. That always played out in the back of my mind. I don’t necessarily feel it did any damage and affect my choices but she really did nail the energy of our relationship.

Then there’s the reading I had in person, where the guy told me right up front in a barrage of words, how old I would be when I died, how old my partner would be when he died.

Eeeeek!!!!!!

Talk about having me on the back foot from the minute I walked in the room.

When I first started out doing readings I was very positive and made it a point to say I don’t see bad things. I suppose I didn’t want anyone to go through what I went through. I mean I still remember the age he told me that I would die and the reading was over ten years ago.

I used to find it hard to tell people things that I knew they didn’t want to hear. Like an ex wasn’t coming back to them. Or that they might have to wait longer than a month for the next relationship, which for some people is eternity.

I think psychic readings should be empowering, who wants to pay to feel awful.

Nothing in the future is set in stone. Psychics are reading your energy at this point in time.

I find sometimes I will see the future as it pans out, and sometimes I see the next stepping stone on the pathway of life.

Psychic readings are way more accessible now with the internet. And the types of readings that are available has changed. Once upon a time you would go to your local psychic and sit there and have it all told to you as if it was a very mystical experience.

Nowadays I feel the client has more power with the new accessibility of the internet. Some of the questions I get asked are so direct and specific I have to remind people that I’m not an all seeing God. I get questions like what is so and so wearing, and are they out on a date with someone else at this very minute.

So remember, as the client you have way more power than you used to, I’m not saying you get to deny the truth if it’s obvious that the guy you were dating 2 years ago hasn’t called you, chances are he’s not going to.

I’m saying you don’t have to sit there and have a lot of metaphysical woo-woo stuff spieled out at you, and for God sake don’t ever pay more than a reasonable amount of money for a spell. That’s just plain ripping you off.

I love Ghost Whisperer and Medium, the TV shows. It’s brought Mediumship into the mainstream and demystified alot about what a Medium can do. It’s brought Spiritualism out of the early 1900s with images of ectoplasm gushing forth out of a Trance Mediums mouth into the modern age.

But……

I ain’t no Melinda Gordon.

I don’t carry on wonderfully clear conversations with someone who has passed over or is earthbound like I’m talking to a friend in the room or someone on the end of a phone line.

Not so simple.

Spirit communicates via an energetic vibration. I feel like its a chunk of energy like a wave, comes in then leaves, comes in then leaves. And I have to interpret the energy via my senses.

Sometimes if the person who has passed on is a talker, I will hear them talking, or they give me a feeling, or an image.

I learned a long time ago that I just have to pass on the impressions I get and try not to interpret them.

First and foremost Mediumship is to prove evidence of survival of Spirit.

The number one question most people want to know is if their loved one’s ok. I don’t think Melinda Gordon has helped people in that respect trust that their loved ones are OK,having had to cross over so many spirits on her show.

I believe if you have the hit to have a mediumship reading then your loved one is guiding you in that direction too.

It takes alot of energy for Spirit to lower their vibration to come through, and for the Medium to raise their vibration to talk to Spirit. So that shows you how much your loved ones want to communicate with you.

And yes, they can hear you when you talk to them, its not like they have to be in the same room to hear you, but they know whats going on in your life.

Most Mediums I know practice Mental Mediumship. Where Spirit connects with them telepathically, rather than taking over their whole body to deliver a message. Its only on rare occasions that I will sense a Spirit around me. I learned a long time ago not to have Spirit hanging out in my house because it can feel like Grand Central Station and mess around with my energy.

Blow waking up like Melinda to Spirits hanging out in her house. I do get interference with my electricals though, especially my laptop when Im doing mediumship readings online. I have to tell Spirit to back their energy off a bit.

Alot of sensitive people experience Spirit more like Alison DuBois in Medium. Dreaming of Spirit. I have that too but mostly from people who have passed over that I know.

Ive only once seen a Spirit in broad daylight. Like he was flesh, he was dressed in Victorian dress, and I had asked to see Spirit. I also had to have one of my houses cleansed by some Ghostbusters because I had noises at night wooshing around my bedroom, sounding like fingernails on the blackboard. That was pretty scary and from that point on I knew not to dabble in the spirit world, but have a very healthy respect.

I’m currently writing a Mediumship 101 correspondence course so look out for that.

This question has got to be right up there in popularity that I’m asked daily as a psychic.

I loved that word – soulmate – I used to edit romance novels,it’s that huge hook into the fairytales we were read as children. We will be cocooned in in a nest of love, rescued from all the bad stuff, and everything will be ok from there on in, once he’s by my side, sweeping the path before my every step. I can’t live until he’s here and I can’t live without him. My life has no meaning without him.

Oh I love it!!!

I want that too.

And he cooks and cleans and I don’t have to work and he knows my every thought and cares about how I feel every second of the day. If he’s away from me then he can’t wait to get back to me.

And he’d gladly give up the remote for me.

Reality check!!!!

Waaaaaaaa!!!!!!

I do believe we have a soulmate. In fact I believe we have a few more than one soulmate. I believe we have 7 billion soulmates. And then some.

Everyone on this planet is our potential soulmate.

But that’s not really what my clients are asking, they don’t want a relationship that they have to work at, a relationship that has ups and downs and hardships.

They want to be rescued from what’s going on in their lives right now. They want that romantic love, the euphoria where everything is a chemically induced high of connection, safety and engulfment.

But, chances are our soulmate is going to push our buttons big time, they may even be someone we can’t live with because all our issues are up in our face when we are around them. There is the chance though that if we do the work and grow within the relationship it can be a place of connection and love.

At a soul level we are attracted to people who further our soul growth. From a personality level it might seem too hard going but we’re talking about the evolution of our soul and learning our soul lessons.

You want to do the work, right?

And how quickly can he be here.

This is the second most common question I get asked after “What’s he feeling and thinking?”.  As if being on your own is the most gawd awful situation to find yourself in. I mean, if you can’t stand being with yourself for one minute, who else is going to be able to.

This also sets up rebound relationships which are way more intense than a normal relationship. Often they are relationships that we run to, to escape the last one, and we drag all those unreolved issues with us, just waiting to surge forth and comtaminate that new relationship.

If you haven’t dont the emotional work to get over the last relationship, then your energy is going to be not fully available, and you will attract someone who is comfortable with you not being fully present.

The rough guide on how long you need to process the end of a relationship is about one month for every year you were with that person. Probably more or less on how you handle moving on. But you’re well advised to take that time, otherwise sure as eggs you’ll have all those issues you haven’t resolved about yourself, dragged into the next relationship.

So slow it down, take your time and do the healing work to move forward, where you can stand in a place of empowerment, ready for a relationship when you feel like one, not because you have to have one or you will crumple.

Sounds pretty logical but it’s not!

This by far is the most popular question I’m asked as a psychic.

If it was that easy to ask him what hes feeling or thinking, then there’d be no need to ask a psychic. There’s a very common theme as far as this type of relationship goes, by the time I’m asked. Women get anxious when there’s distance in a relationship. When he’s silent and when he’s not communicating. For whatever reason it’s got to that stage, where the man chooses not to communicate his feelings or intentions, I know that only on the rare occasion all is well in their world. And he’s just the quiet type.

I think often times some women go for these types  in the start of a relationship, because he is mysterious, because he isn’t telling them what to do and smothering them, and because we want what we can’t have and him being a wee bit emotionally unavailable hooks us in. So when they want him to talk, thats not they type of guy they’ve chosen.

Initially in a relationship we want to see the other person the way we want to see them, we see the good stuff, that’s why we’re so delirious, but that initial romance novel stage always wears off. And often times the trait we liked in our partner initially is the thing that bugs us in the end.

If it’s got to the stage that you have to ask a psychic what he’s thinking, then there are more ingrained problems than just knowing the answer.

I’m not saying don’t ask, but be aware that not being able to ask him is part of your problem to start with.

There’s many reasons why a psychic offers free readings. Either they’re starting out and need the practice, or they’re drumming up business and offering a competition, or they think that all things spiritual shouldn’t have a dollar amount attached to it.

I think two things happen when you receive a free readng. You just don’t care that much about it. You didn’t pay for it, so it’s not got the same emotional attachment than if you did pay for it. So imagine if you paid $1 for a reading, or $100. You’re going to make sure you get your money’s worth out of the $100 reading. You have a different intention, a different involvement and you’re placing a different value on it.

Also, if a pychic is offering a free reading then they either don’t think they’re good enough to charge money, just in case they’re wrong, but hey, we’ve all been there and I’m grateful to the people who let me practice on them. But I bet none of them remember my readings lol. Or, we want to entice you with a free reading, we are doing a sales pitch.

There’s a new trend these days on the pay sites for readings. Alot of freebie seekers around. But it’s just the same, if you want a free reading, thinking you can trick the psychic into giving you something for nothing, then you’re just not going to trust what they say anyway, because of the way your reading was given.

I’m not saying you have to pay megabucks for a reading, but getting a free reading isn’t all its cracked up to be.

I’m very down to earth. My approach to my readings is very practical. I’ll never tell you what to do in my readings, but I hope that I can provide enough information so that things seem clearer for you. I love all things spiritual but it all has to be grounded as far as I’m concerned. What good is spirituality if it can’t be applied to our 3rd dimensional reality (human existance).

 

Before our appointment time I like to sit quietly and tune in and come up with information without being influenced by anything you say. Often times what I’ve picked up here is what is important in the reading.

 

Its a good idea to have some questions for the reading. If you make them vague then there’s vague answers. Best to steer clear of things like, tell me about my love life, or how’s my life going in general. The more specific you are, the more specific I can be.

 

I really don’t like to answer questions like: Will I pass my exams? Will I get into that team? Imagine if i said No. What a psychic says can hold alot of weight and even if you don’t believe it, it can play on your mind.

 

It’s desirable for you to be open about what I’m going to say, ultimately you are in charge of your life and if you disagree with me, thats fine, I am not the power in your life. Often times we can only accept our circumstances in stages. This is usually the case if you’re in a relationship that’s perhaps at the final stages and breaking up in immenent. If you’re in denial then hearing that you need to move on, is hard to hear.

 

The future is not set in stone, I am reading the energy that you have, right now. There are two aspects that come through for me. I will either see how it pans out for the future, like there’s a high likelihood, or I see that what is going to happen only occurs if you take the steps to get there. After all youre not a victim of fate, sometimes you have to take action for things to occur in your life. If I see that yes, you will meet someone in December, then that doesn’t mean you just sit at home watching TV and not putting yourself in situations where you meet people. You are a co-creator or your reality.

 

Psychics aren’t freaks of nature, they are no different than artists who have honed their craft. We can all draw but some of us are better at it than others. The same applies to psychics.

 

I don’t tune into people unless I’m asked. So if you’re thinking I know what youre thinking, and I care, I don’t. lol.  I respect your privacy and boundaries. I am not an all seeing eye in the sky, I’m not God.
